Description
Eagle Rare 17 Year Old 2021 is the annual Buffalo Trace Antique Collection release — 101 proof, distilled in spring 2003 and aged on the first floor of Warehouse K for 17 years through Kentucky’s full seasonal cycling, producing the ripe cherry, vanilla cream, caramel, and coffee complexity that distinguishes the 2021 vintage from other BTAC Eagle Rare releases.
Each year’s Eagle Rare 17 Year BTAC release reflects the specific conditions of that vintage’s distillation season, warehouse position, and aging environment. The 2021 release — distilled spring 2003, first floor Warehouse K — benefits from the more moderate temperature cycling of the lower warehouse floors, producing a profile with more developed fruit character and a long oak, pepper, and herb finish. At 101 proof, it delivers more intensity than the standard 90-proof Eagle Rare 10 Year while remaining structured and elegant.
