Description

The Macallan Double Cask 18 is a bottle we recommend to buyers who take the pour seriously. Time matters here, and the label states 18 years. In turn, we ship it expertly packed across the United States and Canada. By comparison, the label carries a 18 year age statement.

Inside The Macallan Double Cask 18

Sherry seasoned casks tend to add dried fruit character. As a result, time in oak smooths the edges without flattening the character. Cask maturation drives much of what you find in the glass. Similarly, malted barley gives the spirit a cereal backbone. At the same time, The Macallan Double Cask 18 makes the case for slowing down a little.

What to Pair It With

Roast game and malt whisky share a table comfortably. In other words, oysters pair sharply with coastal styles. Collectors build vertical flights from a single distillery. Therefore, smoked salmon is a classic partner for Scotch whisky. A quiet evening by the fire suits this pour perfectly. Equally, pair it with The Macallan 12 Years Old Double for a side by side tasting.

Scotch Whisky Context Worth Knowing

Single malt Scotch comes from malted barley at one distillery. Overall, cask selection separates one release from the next. Older stock grows harder to source with every passing year. Just as important, Scotch whisky matures in Scotland for a minimum of three years. Scotland divides its whisky into recognised producing regions. How to Serve The Macallan Double Cask 18

The Macallan Double Cask 18 shows best when you give it a little care. Serve it neat at room temperature to start. Indeed, let the glass sit briefly before the first sip. A Glencairn glass focuses the nose better than a rocks glass. In short, skip the ice if you want the full aromatic picture. Better still, The Macallan Double Cask 12 15 makes a natural next bottle.

For that reason, The Macallan Double Cask 18 is a straightforward yes for gifting or for your own shelf. We pack every order carefully and ship it without delay.
