Edition No. 2. The Macallan — the second annual release in The Macallan’s Edition series, created in collaboration with architect Rafael de Cárdenas, whose studio’s approach to spatial proportion and material richness informed the cask selection philosophy behind this expression.

The Edition series was launched in 2015 to present The Macallan through creative collaborations outside whisky. Edition No. 2 with Rafael de Cárdenas followed the inaugural No. 1 with furniture designer Ilse Crawford. De Cárdenas’s interest in architectural rhythm and contrast — balancing lightness and weight, warmth and coolness — is reflected in the edition’s cask selection.
