What Makes WhistlePig Barrel Aged Gift Set Worth It

The style reads drier and sharper than most bourbon. Notably, oak softens the grain without burying its bite. Spice leads while sweetness plays a supporting role. Likewise, expect a crisp finish rather than a syrupy one. Just as important, WhistlePig Barrel Aged Gift Set shows more the longer you sit with it.

Pairings and Perfect Moments

Dark chocolate balances the drier finish. Similarly, sharp cheeses cut cleanly against the spice. Collectors track limited rye releases closely. Indeed, charcuterie boards give the spice something to lean on. Cocktail hour is where rye whiskey does its best work. Naturally, pair it with WhistlePig PiggyBack Barrel for a side by side tasting.

Where Rye Whiskey Comes From

Rye grain brings a drier profile than corn heavy mashbills. In addition, distillers across Kentucky, Indiana and Maryland shaped the modern category. Rye whiskey has returned to prominence with the craft cocktail revival. Of course, straight rye rests a minimum of two years in fresh oak. Barrel picks give retailers a single barrel that no one else carries. As a result, browse the wider rye whiskey collection to compare styles.

Serving WhistlePig Barrel Aged Gift Set

Serving WhistlePig Barrel Aged Gift Set properly takes very little work. The Sazerac and the Old Fashioned both suit a spicy pour. Because of that, neat pours show the grain most clearly. A single large cube keeps a cocktail cold without watering it down. In turn, store the bottle upright, away from heat and light. For that reason, Whistlepig Flight Gift Set makes a natural next bottle.

At the same time, WhistlePig Barrel Aged Gift Set is an easy recommendation for collectors and gift shoppers alike. Order today and we will get it on its way quickly.
