The Birthday Bourbon concept is unique in American bourbon: every year, Old Forester selects barrels from a single day of production 12 years prior and bottles them as the Birthday Bourbon vintage. Because the entire release comes from one production day, the number of barrels available is limited by what that specific day produced — and no two years taste alike, because different days in the warehouse, different seasonal conditions 12 years ago, and natural barrel variation all shape the final character. The 2019 release is a finite, unrepeatable expression that will not be restocked once sold through.
